Stage 4b. Detailed Design & Technical/Construction Drawings (Optional)
For most projects, Stage 4a alone leaves gaps. Building Regulations drawings show that a design is compliant, but they don’t always show a contractor exactly how to build the trickier details. Stage 4b fills that gap.
These drawings cover the details that make the difference between a good finish and a great one: roof edges, box gutters, timber cladding, green roofs, large dormers, timber structures, special window details, and thresholds. Also included are a window and door schedule, indicative electrical layout, and detail kitchen layout where applicable.
If your project includes anything beyond standard construction, or if you want your contractor to be able to build with confidence and minimal back-and-forth, this stage is recommended. We include it as standard advice for all but the most straightforward single-storey extensions.
